Zipline Safety, Risk & Liability Terms

1. Eligibility to

Ride

Participants must meet all rider requirements before using the zipline, including:

Minimum age: 14 years

Maximum age: 60 years

Minimum height: 140 cm

Maximum height: 190 cm

Permitted weight range: 45 kg to 95 kg

Ajman Water Park reserves the right to deny participation to any guest who does not meet these requirements.

2. Medical and

Physical Fitness

Participants must be in good physical and medical condition and capable of safely using the zipline.

The following persons are not permitted to ride:

Pregnant women

Persons with heart conditions or high blood pressure

Persons with spinal, neck, or back injuries

Persons with epilepsy or seizure disorders

Persons under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may impair judgment, balance, coordination, or safe participation

Any guest with a medical condition, recent injury, surgery, mobility limitation, dizziness, fainting tendency, or any condition that may affect safe participation must not ride unless medically fit to do so.

Participants are responsible for assessing their own fitness to ride.

3. Wet

Clothes Requirement

For safety reasons, participants must not ride the zipline in excessively wet, dripping, heavy, or unsafe clothing.

Ajman Water Park may refuse participation where wet clothing may, in the operator’s opinion:

affect the proper fitting or safe use of the harness or safety equipment;

increase discomfort or risk during the ride;

interfere with the safe operation of the activity; or

create a risk to the participant, staff, or equipment.

Participants may be asked to dry off or change before riding.

4. Clothing,

Hair, and Personal Appearance

Participants must wear appropriate clothing for the activity.

Long hair must be tied back securely.

Loose clothing, scarves, abayas, accessories, or any other items that may interfere with the ride must be secured.

Participants wearing clothing or accessories that may pose a safety risk may be refused participation until the issue is corrected.

5. Safety

Equipment

All required safety equipment must be worn correctly at all times and used only as instructed by authorised staff.

Participants must not:

remove,

loosen,

tamper with,

misuse, or

interfere with

any harness, cable, trolley, attachment, seat, strap, or other safety equipment.

Only authorised Ajman Water Park personnel may fit, adjust, check, or remove safety equipment.

6. Staff

Instructions

Participants must follow all staff instructions at all times, before, during, and after the ride.

Failure to follow staff instructions may result in denial of participation, immediate removal from the activity, or other action considered necessary for safety.

7. Ride

Operation Rules

For safety reasons:

Only one rider is allowed at a time.

Participants must maintain the correct riding position throughout the ride.

Participants must leave the landing platform immediately after the ride ends.

Participants must comply with all boarding, launching, riding, and landing procedures instructed by staff.

8. Prohibited

Conduct

The following conduct is strictly prohibited:

swinging;

twisting;

spinning intentionally;

attempting tricks or stunts;

interfering with the cable, trolley, harness, or other equipment;

acting in a reckless or unsafe manner;

refusing staff instructions; or

engaging in any conduct that may endanger the participant, staff, or others.

Ajman Water Park reserves the right to stop participation or refuse access if unsafe conduct is observed.

9. Prohibited

Items

The following items are not permitted during the ride unless specifically authorised by staff:

mobile phones;

cameras;

bags;

loose items;

unsecured accessories; and

any object that may fall, interfere with the ride, or create a safety risk.

Participants are responsible for securing their belongings before participating.

10. Assumption of

Activity Risk

The zipline is an adventure activity and involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

movement at height;

acceleration and deceleration;

loss of balance;

improper body positioning;

contact with equipment;

landing impact;

fear or panic reactions; and

other risks commonly associated with zipline activities.

Participation is voluntary, and by choosing to ride, participants acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with the activity.

However, nothing in these terms excludes any responsibility of Ajman Water Park that cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

11. Participant

Responsibility

Participants are responsible for complying with all posted rules, staff instructions, eligibility conditions, and safety requirements.

If a participant fails to follow the rules, misuses the activity, interferes with equipment, or behaves in a negligent, reckless, or unsafe manner, that participant may be held responsible for the consequences of their actions in accordance with applicable law.

12. Injury to

Others

Any participant who intentionally, recklessly, negligently, or through unsafe conduct causes harm or injury to another guest, staff member, or third party may be held responsible for resulting losses or damages in accordance with applicable law.

Where applicable, this may include reasonable:

medical expenses,

emergency treatment costs,

ambulance fees, and

other directly related costs.

13. Medical

Emergencies

In the event of an accident, injury, illness, or other emergency, Ajman Water Park may contact emergency services and take reasonable immediate action considered necessary to protect the participant or others.

Any ambulance, hospital, treatment, or related medical costs will be borne by the legally responsible person or party, subject to applicable law, insurance coverage, and the circumstances of the incident.

14. Water

Park Liability

Ajman Water Park shall not be responsible for injury, loss, or damage caused solely by:

a participant’s failure to follow safety instructions;

a participant’s misrepresentation of age, weight, height, or medical condition;

unsafe, reckless, or prohibited conduct by a participant; or

the actions of another guest,

except to the extent liability arises from Ajman Water Park’s own negligence or legal obligations under applicable law.

15. Refusal or

Removal from the Activity

Ajman Water Park reserves the right to refuse or remove any participant from the zipline if the participant:

does not meet the ride requirements;

appears medically unfit or impaired;

is wearing unsafe or unsuitable clothing, including excessively wet clothing;

refuses to follow staff instructions;

interferes with equipment;

carries prohibited items; or

engages in unsafe or prohibited behaviour.

Any refund or rebooking in such cases shall be subject to Ajman Water Park policy and applicable law.

16. Property

Damage

Participants may be held responsible for any intentional or negligent damage caused to the zipline equipment, harnesses, landing area, launch platform, safety systems, or other Water Park property.

Ajman Water Park reserves the right to recover reasonable repair or replacement costs where permitted by applicable law.

17. Weather,

Safety, and Operational Suspension

Ajman Water Park may suspend, delay, or close the zipline at any time due to:

weather conditions,

wind,

technical issues,

maintenance,

safety concerns,

emergency situations, or

operational requirements.

Participants must comply immediately with any suspension, evacuation, or closure instructions.

18. Personal

Belongings

Ajman Water Park is not responsible for personal belongings that are lost, dropped, or damaged because they were carried onto the ride contrary to instructions or safety rules, except where responsibility arises under applicable law.

19. Minors

Participants under 18 years of age must have consent from a parent or legal guardian in accordance with Ajman Water Park policy.

The parent or guardian is responsible for ensuring that the minor understands and complies with all zipline rules and restrictions.

20. Acceptance of

Terms

By selecting the zipline option and accepting these terms, the participant confirms that they:

meet the eligibility requirements;

are physically and medically fit to participate;

understand the risks of the activity;

agree to follow all safety rules and staff instructions; and

accept these terms together with Ajman Water Park’s General Terms & Conditions and other applicable policies.

Glass Bridge – Safety, Risk & Liability Terms

1. Participation

RequirementsParticipants must meet the minimum height requirement of 140 cm. There is no minimum age requirement unless otherwise specified by Ajman Water Park; however, all participants must be physically capable of safely completing the activity and following operator instructions. A maximum of 15 participants may be permitted on the bridge at the same time.

2. Health &

Medical ConditionsParticipants must be in suitable physical and medical condition to participate safely. Participation is not permitted for pregnant women or persons suffering from heart conditions, serious back or neck injuries, severe medical conditions, or any other condition that may affect their ability to safely participate in the activity. Guests experiencing dizziness, fainting, impaired balance, or any condition that could place themselves or others at risk must inform the operator before participating.

Participants are responsible for assessing whether they are medically and physically fit to participate and should seek medical advice where they are uncertain.

3. Safety

EquipmentAll required safety equipment, including the safety harness, must be worn correctly and remain properly secured throughout the entire activity. Participants must not remove, loosen, alter, misuse, interfere with, or tamper with any harness, cable, attachment, barrier, or other safety equipment.

Only authorised Ajman Water Park employees may attach, adjust, remove, or otherwise operate safety equipment.

4. Footwear and

ClothingFlat, secure and closed footwear must be worn during the activity. Participants wearing unsuitable footwear, loose clothing, accessories, or any item that could create a safety risk may be refused participation until the issue is corrected.

5. Operator

InstructionsParticipants must follow all instructions given by Challenge Bridge operators, lifeguards, safety personnel and other authorised Ajman Water Park employees before, during and immediately after the activity.

The operator may stop a participant from continuing the activity where the operator reasonably considers that continuing may present a safety risk.

6. Prohibited

ConductRunning, pushing, jumping, fighting, intentionally shaking the bridge, climbing on cables or structures, leaving the designated route, interfering with another participant, intentionally creating instability, or behaving in a reckless or unsafe manner is strictly prohibited.

Participants must maintain an appropriate distance from other participants when instructed and must not perform any action that may endanger themselves or another person.

7. Prohibited

ItemsMobile phones, food, drinks, bags, loose personal belongings, and any other objects that may fall from the bridge or interfere with the safe operation of the activity are prohibited unless specifically authorised by the operator.

Participants must follow any designated storage procedure for their belongings before entering the activity.

8. Alcohol,

Drugs and ImpairmentPersons who appear to be under the influence of alcohol, illegal substances, or any substance or medication that may impair balance, coordination, awareness, judgement or the ability to safely participate may be refused entry to or removed from the activity.

9. Acknowledgment of

Activity RisksParticipants acknowledge that the Challenge Bridge is a physical recreational activity conducted at height and may involve inherent risks, including loss of balance, slips, trips, falls while secured by safety equipment, movement of the bridge, contact with equipment or other participants, fear of heights, and risks arising from weather conditions.

Participation is voluntary. By choosing to participate, guests acknowledge these inherent risks and agree to comply with all measures established to minimise them.

This acknowledgment does not exclude or limit any responsibility of Ajman Water Park that cannot legally be excluded under applicable UAE law.

10. Failure to

Follow Safety RulesWhere injury or damage results from a participant's deliberate misuse of the activity, failure to follow safety instructions, interference with safety equipment, prohibited behaviour, or other negligent or reckless conduct, responsibility will be determined in accordance with applicable UAE law.

Ajman Water Park shall not be responsible for injury caused solely by the intentional, negligent, reckless, or unsafe actions of another guest, except to the extent that responsibility arises from the Water Park's own acts, omissions, negligence, or obligations under applicable law.

11. Injury

Caused to Another PersonAny participant who intentionally, recklessly, negligently, or through prohibited or unsafe behaviour causes injury or harm to another guest, employee, contractor, or third party may be held responsible for the resulting damage in accordance with applicable UAE law.

Where applicable, this may include reasonable medical treatment, emergency treatment, ambulance transportation and other costs arising directly from the incident, subject to applicable law, insurance coverage and determination of responsibility.

This is particularly useful for what you wanted earlier: if someone pushes another guest, deliberately shakes the bridge, interferes with their harness, or otherwise causes an accident, you have expressly established that their conduct can result in personal responsibility. UAE civil law generally provides that an act causing harm can give rise to an obligation to compensate for that damage.

12. Emergency

Medical AssistanceIn the event of an accident, injury, illness or other emergency, participants authorise Ajman Water Park personnel to contact emergency services and take reasonable immediate steps considered necessary to protect the participant or other persons.

Any ambulance, hospital, medical treatment or other emergency costs will be allocated to the legally responsible person or party in accordance with applicable law, the circumstances of the incident and any applicable insurance coverage.

13. Damage to

Property and Safety EquipmentParticipants may be held responsible for damage they intentionally or negligently cause to the Challenge Bridge, harnesses, cables, safety equipment, Water Park property, or the property of another person.

Ajman Water Park reserves the right to recover reasonable repair, replacement or other losses resulting from such damage, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

14. Weather,

Technical Issues and Emergency ClosureAjman Water Park may immediately suspend, delay or close the Challenge Bridge due to strong winds, rain, lightning, severe weather, maintenance, technical problems, emergency situations, safety concerns, government instructions, or any other circumstances where continued operation may be unsafe.

Guests must immediately comply with evacuation or closure instructions issued by Water Park personnel.

15. Refusal or

Removal from the ActivityAjman Water Park may refuse participation or remove a participant from the activity where the participant:

Does not meet the participation or safety requirements;

Refuses to wear or correctly use required safety equipment;

Refuses to follow operator instructions;

Engages in running, pushing, jumping, climbing, fighting or dangerous behaviour;

Interferes with another participant or with safety equipment;

Appears medically or physically unable to safely participate; or

Otherwise creates a reasonable safety risk to themselves or others.

Where participation is refused or terminated because of a guest's breach of safety rules or prohibited conduct, any refund or rebooking will be handled in accordance with Ajman Water Park's applicable ticket and refund policy and UAE law.

16. Personal

BelongingsParticipants are responsible for securing their personal belongings before entering the activity. Ajman Water Park is not responsible for belongings that are dropped, lost or damaged because they were taken onto the Challenge Bridge contrary to posted rules or operator instructions, except where responsibility arises under applicable law.

17. Minors

Where a participant is a minor, any required consent must be provided by a parent or legal guardian in accordance with Ajman Water Park policy and applicable UAE law. The parent or guardian is responsible for ensuring that the minor understands and complies with the applicable safety rules.

18. Compliance

With Posted Safety RulesThe safety signs displayed at the Challenge Bridge form part of these participation requirements. Participants must read and comply with all posted warnings, restrictions and safety instructions before entering the attraction.

If there is any uncertainty regarding a rule or instruction, the participant must seek clarification from an operator before beginning the activity.

19. Acceptance of

TermsBy selecting the Challenge Bridge option and accepting these terms, the participant confirms that they have read and understood the applicable safety requirements and agree to comply with them.

These terms are intended to operate together with Ajman Water Park's General Terms & Conditions, Guest Conduct & Liability Terms, ticketing policies and applicable UAE law. Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts any legal right or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
